Meet our Team:
Mr. Randy Klapstein
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Klapstein has over thirty years of experience in the real estate development industry, beginning his career in the residential construction and drywall business in Edmonton, Alberta. Under Mr. Klapstein's guidance, the Carlisle Group has grown to be one of the largest multi-family developers in Western Canada. Mr. Klapstein believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy home ownership and invest in their future. To fulfill that passion, he recognized a need to offer quality, practically priced homes to first-time buyers, young professionals, empty nesters and seniors.
Mr. Brian J. Stoddard, CA
President & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Stoddard is a Chartered Accountant with over thirty years of business experience. Mr. Stoddard attended Acadia University where he obtained an undergraduate degree in business administration. Mr. Stoddard has also completed the Executive Leadership Program at the Niagara Institute. Prior to joining Carlisle in 2006, Mr. Stoddard was a senior partner with Grant Thornton LLP, an international professional services firm. At Grant Thornton, Mr. Stoddard served in several capacities including a three year term on the firm's Policy Board, the governing body of Grant Thornton.
Mr. Patrick Egli, CGA
Vice President, Accounting & Administration
Mr. Egli has been with the Carlisle Group since 2010 and is a Certified General Accountant with over twenty-five years of finance experience. His past experiences have included senior positions in several industries, including oil and gas services, manufacturing and commercial banking, within both public and private ownership structures. Mr. Egli also has extensive experience with information systems and human resource services management. He is currently the Chairman of the CGA Alberta Continuing Professional Development Committee and has served in this role over the past five years.
Mr. Jim Bryce
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Bryce joined Carlisle in 2013 with over twenty years of sales management experience, having spent time in the industrial, service and financial services industries. Mr. Bryce graduated from Ryerson University where he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a major in Management. Mr. Bryce believes that regardless of the industry, “Nobody likes to be SOLD, but everybody is willing to BUY”. Sales is about LISTENING to what a prospective clients needs are, educating the client based on their needs, and then providing the client with enough quality options in order to make an informed decision.
Mr. Jim Mackey
Vice President, Development - Calgary
Mr. Mackey entered the construction industry twenty-five years ago in Calgary and has been with the Carlisle Group for fifteen of those years. He is a graduate of the Architectural Technologies graduate program of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Mr. Mackey is an active member with the Calgary Home Builders Association and sits on the Multi-Family Committee, which is an active committee communicating with regulating authorities on policy to improve relations and industry interaction.
Mr. Douglas Welchman
Vice President, Development - Edmonton
Mr. Welchman entered the residential and commercial construction industry in Saskatchewan thirty-five years ago. He worked fifteen years as a tradesman, returning to Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw to study Civil Engineering Technology. Since that point, he has worked in construction management across the Prairie Provinces and has worked in the Calgary area in multi-family residential construction since 2005. Mr. Welchman joined the Carlisle team in June 2013.
Mr. Chad Hamilton
Vice President, Construction - Calgary
Mr. Hamilton started in the construction industry after graduating from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a degree in Business Management and Corporate Organization in 2001. He has been directly involved with multi-family construction since 2003 and has gained considerable experience with regards to building envelope, building codes/regulations, quality control, construction scheduling and architecture. Through continuing education, Mr. Hamilton has completed numerous safety courses, as well as business envelope and design seminars. Prior to joining the work force, Mr. Hamilton enjoyed a stint as a professional athlete and was actively involved in volunteer work and a mentor for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Mr. Lee Harrison
Vice President, Construction - Edmonton
Mr. Harrison started in the construction industry over eighteen years ago, after graduating from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Business Administration, with a major in Marketing. His experience in the construction industry includes multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, residential and institutional sectors.
